Bozeman Butcher Shop Debuts Montana’s First 24-Hour Meat Vending Machine

BOZEMAN, MT - Daniels Gourmet Meats, located in Bozeman, has introduced what is believed to be Montana’s inaugural 24-hour meat vending machine, providing fresh meat selections at any hour.

Austin Daniels, a third-generation butcher, installed the touchscreen vending unit two weeks ago outside his northeast Bozeman store, which has been in operation for a decade and follows family recipes passed down through three generations. The refrigerated machine is stocked daily with fresh products such as bratwurst, jerky, meat sticks, bacon, and a variety of steak cuts, with bacon priced at $10.99.

The vending machine is equipped with its own compressor, condenser, and temperature sensors to ensure the freshness of the products.

Daniels noted that the idea was created to serve customers looking to purchase meat after the shop’s 6 p.m. closing time and during Sunday closures. “We’re closed Sunday, so it’s a great opportunity for our fishermen, skiers, and avid outdoors people to come in before or after hours. That was the design, and people are pretty pumped,” Daniels said.
