Two Couples Sharing Names Are Tying the Knot on the Same Day in Pennsylvania

An error involving a digital wedding registry brought together two Pennsylvania couples who not only share the same first names but also have weddings scheduled for the identical date.

Erin Bock and Mike Darnay from Pittsburgh unexpectedly received a gift from another couple, Erin Ditro and Mike Anderson, who live near Philadelphia. This surprising connection was made when Ditro stumbled upon Bock's wedding website while searching for a site with the same URL.

"There was a little note in there from another Erin who said, 'Congratulations, we wish you well, and you stole our website name,'" Bock shared with CBS Pittsburgh.

Describing the coincidence as "cosmic waves of the universe," Ditro chose to send Kate Spade Christmas towels as a friendly gesture. After receiving this thoughtful present, Bock and Darnay found Ditro's registry and contributed to their honeymoon fund.

"It was a nice little surprise to break up all of the stress and the monotony of these final days of planning," Bock said.
