UPDATE: Tiger Woods Faces Official DUI Charges After Florida Car Accident

Tiger Woods has been formally charged with driving under the influence and declining chemical testing after his rollover accident on March 27th in Florida.

According to TMZ, the two misdemeanor charges were filed Tuesday related to the crash where Woods was driving at high speed, collided with a pickup truck entering a driveway, and subsequently overturned his Range Rover. Law enforcement officials noted that Woods exhibited "severe signs of impairment" at the scene and found two hydrocodone pills in his pocket during the arrest. The golfer refused to submit to chemical or physical breath and urine tests.

After the accident, Woods publicly stated he was pursuing treatment, saying, "I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today."

Prosecutors in Florida are reportedly preparing to issue a broad subpoena for Woods' prescription drug records, focusing especially on any advisories warning against driving while using prescribed medications.
