Aaron Carter's Mother Initiates $85,000 GoFundMe to Obtain Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Published April 17, 2026

Jane Carter Schneck has initiated a GoFundMe campaign aiming to raise $85,000 to obtain a posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame star for her late son, Aaron Carter.

The former child pop sensation passed away in November 2022 at the age of 34 due to accidental drowning linked to a combination of prescription medications.

Schneck, who also manages Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, plans to meet the fundraising target by May 15th to file the official application. "The funds will cover the creation, installation, and long-term maintenance of the star," the campaign explains. "We are uniting as fans, friends, and supporters to celebrate Aaron Carter's legacy."

She shared a memory of telling her son that his name would one day be on the Walk of Fame, with Aaron agreeing to the prediction. She highlighted that he "would've loved" this honor and frequently visited the iconic location during trips to Los Angeles.
