On Thursday, Lana Del Rey unexpectedly released "First Light," a new theme song crafted for the forthcoming James Bond video game bearing the same title.

The composition, developed in collaboration with seasoned Bond film composer David Arnold, showcases Del Rey's vocals layered over drums, bass, and string instruments, culminating in a dramatic brass finale.

She sings, "Can't say I'm surprised to see you running towards the sun/ Like a moth to a flame," with lyrics that allude to treating "your life like a game."

The 007 First Light video game is set to debut in May. Del Rey's musical piece adds to the rich legacy of Bond theme songs, following celebrated contributions by Billie Eilish and Finneas, Adele, Paul McCartney, and Madonna.
