TOP GUN 3 Officially Confirmed With Tom Cruise Reprising His Role

During its CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, Paramount officially revealed that Top Gun 3 is in development, with Tom Cruise set to reprise his role as Maverick. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is also confirmed to return for the follow-up to Joseph Kosinski's 2022 blockbuster, Top Gun: Maverick.

Top Gun: Maverick emerged as a major success amid the COVID-19 pandemic, grossing $1.5 billion worldwide on a production budget of $170 million. The film played a vital role in supporting movie theaters that were struggling during that period.

Tom Cruise returned to his legendary pilot character 36 years after the original 1986 film, portraying Maverick as he mentors a new generation of pilots for a high-risk mission.
