Christina Applegate Shares She's 'Growing Stronger' Following Recent Hospital Stay

Published April 21, 2026

On Monday, Christina Applegate comforted her fans by stating she is "growing stronger and improving each day" after being hospitalized recently. The actress expressed gratitude on Instagram for the "outpouring of love and well wishes" she received. She admitted that "health challenges are a constant part of my life, but I am a resilient woman." Applegate mentioned she is dedicating time to prioritize her health but assured fans she will return "with more to share soon enough."

In late March, reports emerged that the Married…With Children star had been admitted to the hospital, with some media sources suggesting those close to her were bracing for the worst.

Applegate revealed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in August 2021 and has openly discussed her health battles through her upcoming 2026 memoir and her podcast alongside fellow MS patient Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

The actress stepped away from acting after finishing Dead To Me, a series she filmed while experiencing early symptoms of MS.
