CBS is set to launch a fresh spinoff this fall titled NCIS: New York. LL Cool J reprises his role as Agent Sam Hanna, now operating out of his native New York City. He partners with a daring new character, portrayed by Scott Caan, to spearhead missions safeguarding one of the globe’s busiest urban centers and ports. The show will be broadcast on Tuesdays at 9 p.m., positioned between NCIS at 8 p.m. and NCIS: Origins at 10 p.m.

In addition, CBS is in the process of creating a new police drama named Flint, starring and executive produced by Matt LeBlanc. The storyline centers on “a burnt-out LAPD detective who, just as he nears retirement, is unexpectedly required to continue working for an additional five years by the city. In an effort to get fired, he begins breaking rules and defying orders, but ironically, this results in him becoming an even more effective officer.”

Warner Bros. has officially announced a new Game of Thrones spin-off film called Aegon’s Conquest. This project is being developed by Beau Willimon, known for his work on House of Cards and Andor. The film will depict the story of Aegon I Targaryen, the founder of the Targaryen dynasty, as he unites the kingdoms of Westeros. This narrative is based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood.

Meanwhile, CBS is exploring new programming options for its 11:30 p.m. time slot following the conclusion of Byron Allen’s one-year agreement for Comics Unleashed. The network is “developing other ideas” after The Late Show ends its 33-year tenure next month. Cheeks noted that Allen’s time-buy arrangement produced “immediate profitability,” as Allen pays CBS for the airtime.
