Noah Kahan Opens Up About Body Dysmorphia and Mental Health Struggles

Noah Kahan openly shared his ongoing experiences with body dysmorphia and depression during an interview on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast aired April 6th. The artist behind "Stick Season" expressed concerns about "wasting so much time hating who I am" and described feeling alienated despite achieving success in his career.

"I wake up and I'm like, 'Why do I feel like s--t?' I'm pissed. It's a beautiful morning," Kahan explained, illustrating how depression impacts his everyday life. He admitted that gaining fame brought new mental health obstacles while also compelling him to face pre-existing struggles.

Kahan revealed that his mother was unaware of the severity of his body dysmorphia until she viewed his forthcoming Netflix documentary Out of Body, which is set to premiere on April 13th.

The singer shared that performing his track "Shape of My Shadow" allowed him to connect with fans who are going through similar challenges.
