UPDATE: 'Ketamine Queen' Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Role in Matthew Perry's Death

Jasveen Sangha, widely known as the "Ketamine Queen," was handed a 15-year prison sentence on Wednesday after being convicted of supplying the ketamine that led to the death of Friends actor Matthew Perry in 2023.

The 42-year-old trafficker admitted guilt to five federal charges, which included maintaining a drug-involved premises and distributing ketamine that resulted in a fatality.

According to prosecutors, Sangha ran a large-scale trafficking operation from her residence in North Hollywood, targeting clients within the Hollywood community.

In October 2023, Sangha and an accomplice sold Perry numerous vials of ketamine, some of which were administered by his assistant, ultimately causing the actor's death. An autopsy confirmed that Perry died due to acute ketamine toxicity with additional contributing factors.

Four other individuals connected to the case are facing legal consequences: Perry's assistant and Sangha's partner are awaiting sentencing, while two men involved received lighter penalties for distributing ketamine.
