UPDATE: Police Allege Rapper Lil Tjay's Associate Shot Offset

Authorities allege that Lil Tjay initiated an altercation that resulted in his associate shooting Offset. According to the probable cause affidavit, police state that at approximately 7:22 PM ET on Monday, Lil Tjay "instructed members of his group to provoke a fight with another group of males" at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino located in Hollywood, Florida.

Law enforcement reports that during the confrontation, one of Lil Tjay's associates brandished a firearm and discharged it, causing injuries to Offset.

The documents indicate that officers reviewed security footage showing Lil Tjay exiting his vehicle, identifying Offset, and guiding his entourage toward the rapper, where the fight subsequently erupted. Additionally, it is claimed that Lil Tjay recorded the incident on his phone.

The scuffle between Lil Tjay's party and Offset's companions continued until police arrived on the scene, officials add.

As previously reported, Lil Tjay was taken into custody and booked at the Broward County Jail on charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray. He was released on Tuesday, at which point he referred to Offset as a "rat"—a statement captured in the video above.

Offset remains hospitalized but was well enough to be taken outside for a cigarette earlier this morning.
